Changing Migraines

I am a 75yr old woman. I have been suffering from migraines since I was in my twenties. I very rarely got bad frontal headaches but did get very painful occipital migraines, these seemed to ease of after many years.
Now I seem to be getting an aura no headache but find for the next couple of days I feel awful as if I am coming down with something I even tested for Covid but it was negative. Really tired even though I sleep very well. Should I se my GP to discuss this.

  1. Hi, Lesley. I'm sorry you're struggling lately. Did you ever feel like this in the past? We're not doctors and we can't give medical advice, so it's always a good idea to talk to your doctor about anything new/different.

That said, migraine symptoms can change throughout your lifetime. Also, a migraine attack usually occurs in phases, and the final phase (called postdrome) is sometimes called a "migraine hangover" because it can make you feel really run down, even for a few days. Here's an article if you're not familiar with it:

Does this sound like what you're going through? I hope you and your doctor can get to the bottom of this. -Melissa, team member
