Even as a Child

I'm 74 now but still vividly remember a terrible migraine when I was 6. It was the school picnic at the end of the school year; bright, hot sun at the beach; cheap, high nitrate hot dogs and sugar for lunch. I managed to find the only small patch of shade and suffered through the hours until the buses loaded to go home.

  1. Oh what an awful experience for a six-year-old to have to endure, , especially on a school picnic that's supposed to be full of fun! My heart goes out to you as that small child just trying to suffer through until it was time to go home. Was that the first migraine experience you remember having? And did you experience them often as a child? I can only imagine what all you have gone through over the course of your lifetime, both in symptoms and in symptom management. Hopefully you are currently on a treatment that is bringing some relief. Sending you gentle hugs. -- Warmly, Christine (Team Member)
