Well hello I am Hope and my first migraine attack was on thanksgiving when I was 3rd grade.
But back then it was just a headache or if you were sick it was oh you have a sinus infection. So I never really gotten treated until I was in my late 20’s when I was down for a whole week with a migraine. The doctor again said it’s just a headache and take some Tylenol. And ever since then I was waking up every day with a major headache.
I still have my headaches every day when waking up and then it hangs on until it either goes into a migraine or feeling like it’s on the verge of a migraine. And now since I have fought a long and hard battle with doctors and insurance. I am diagnosed with dilatory migraines.
I still work and how I manage that I don’t know. I do push myself as much as I can before I tag out and go home. I have tried all the meds on all 3 levels and Botox, pain blocks, infusions, and so far nothing really helps me. So there is only one more option to go and I don’t want a surgery. I do have to say I do take THC when the pain is to unbearable. Since they no longer give pain meds. And if they do give you some in the ER they treat you like a druggy. So I no longer go there. But that’s some of my story. Thank you for being here in this group.
Hope
