When I was about 10, I had a migraine and vomiting in the evening. My mom had been skating and fell and hurt herself. I had to get myself to the sink (we had no indoor toilet back then) and remember vomiting many times. I do not remember any head pain, but always think of it as my first migraine.
I didn't have another until I was 20. I took an overnight coach from my parent's home back to where my husband and I were living that summer, and had to vomit many times in the bathroom on the coach. Afraid I would lose my glasses down the toilet, the movement of the coach, very bad head pain, and bright sunshine coming in the coach windows made it a memorable experience. Of course I had no painkillers on me back then. I spent the day travelling with my husband as he delivered books to schools in the district, with severe pain and light sensitivity. Not a fun experience !
