Hi everyone. 56 year old healthy male, I’m looking for some advice/reassurance from people who experience visual migraine/migraine aura, particularly about a sudden increase in frequency.
I've had visual migraine/aura occasionally for the last couple of years — probably around 4 episodes in total. They involve strange shimmering/distorted vision where i couldnt properly see parts of the screen and seem to affect both eyes, last around 15 minutes, and then my vision returns completely to normal. yesterday i have a mild headache after and felt tired.
I had my eyes checked after he first one last year and they are fine healthy.
My main concern is that I've now had 2 episodes in 2 days. Until now they've been very occasional and spread out over a long period, so having them on consecutive days has worried me.
Has anyone else had a similar pattern where you can go months without an aura and then suddenly have 2 or more close together?
I have health anxiety always thinking the worst and thinking brain tumour. yesterday i used an inversion upside down table for my back 3 times for 30 seconds which created a lot of pressure in my head being upside down and there was also a pending storm in the air. I dont know what to do or if I should rush to the GP
Any advice on reducing the likelihood of another one would also be really appreciated.
