Can neck pain/stiffness caused by anxiety cause chronic migraines?

Neck pain can be tricky – it can be a symptom of a migraine attack and/or a trigger. I have lots of issues with my neck which stem from a fall over 20 years ago. When I have bad neck pain, it usually means I’m going to get a nasty migraine attack. Some people with migraine disease find PT and/or heat/cold helpful to relieve some of the discomfort. I’m a heat person, cold and I don’t get along!

I have arthritis on my upper spine and the bottom of my skull. I should have neck pain from this, but I don't. What I do have are migraines from it. So yes, I would think that neck pain could lead to chronic migraine ... depending on the cause of the neck pain. If it's just because people are a pain in the neck, probably not. But if it's damage of some sort, then there is the possibility. Only a doctor can tell for sure.
