What is your process when trying something new?

Whether it's a new treatment, a tool, or a suggestion, what steps do you take when you try something new? How long do you test the new thing? Do you track your progress? How does the process make you feel?

  1. Give it a reasonable chance

    1. , that's a great process! Is there a certain amount of time that you consider a reasonable chance? -- Warmly, Christine (Team Member)

    2. 3 months preventative, a month or less on as needed Rescue meds. Fiorinal still works best for me. Some have rebounds so I've been carefully monitored by each doctor I've had. Still the best. I've been told by my last two doctors that the only thing left for me to try is Botox. I have denied that treatment because my teenage daughter ended up in the ER on day 3 from reactions.

  2. If it constipates me, I'm done with it

    1. Nightmare

      1. I keep a headache log that tracks date, time, medication, result, comments

        1. , great idea! I know we have a lot of community members who find keeping a log helpful. Do you do paper and pen, notes on your phone, or a specific app? One of our members wrote about the app, Migraine Buddy, in this article that you might be interested in, https://migraine.com/stories/migraine-buddy-app-review. -- Warmly, Christine (Team Member)
