Reduced Consciousness with Migraine

Two days ago, I had an eye exam scheduled. Before the exam, I started to develop a headache, but it was still bearable. As the exam went on, my headache worsened as the optician used an eye drop for floating dots.

Agony during the eye exam

Also, unfortunately, a non epileptic seizure came on twice during the exam, especially when they checked the pressure of the eyes, and when they used a machine to check behind my eyes. This machine produced a sharp light, and I was in agony afterward.

An emergency situation

My migraine hit the sky to the point where I started to feel I was losing consciousness, and I was weak on my left side, as well as experiencing a loss of speech. The optician doctor called an ambulance. I was not able to communicate at all with the paramedics or the A&E doctor.
They kept me overnight. Difficult day.

Is it common to almost lose consciousness with migraine?
