Hello everyone!
I am new here. I started having headaches when I was young, and have grown up with headaches. Just recently, the headaches have gotten worse. I have had nerve blocks, and am trying to get my insurance to approve botox. I just got out of the hospital Friday afternoon, and have been admitted 3 times in August into September. I was diagnosed with a hemiplegic migraine back in August. I just started a new job, and have already had to call in sick 2 times. How do y'all live with headaches? They are definitely a pain!!!!

I'm sorry you are having such a difficult time right now. I understand how frustrating that is and it's not easy living with migraine pain and/or headache. And it's possible to have both!
Hemiplegic migraine (HM) is a rare form of migraine disease. One of the hallmark symptoms of HM is true motor weakness, rather than or in addition to numbness and tingling. Take a look at this article on HM for more information; https://migraine.com/migraine-types/familial-hemiplegic-migraine/.
Migraine with aura, on the other hand, has a whole host of symptoms that can be very alarming. There is sensory aura, and visual aura, and it's possible to have both. About 25% experience migraine with aura, I typically don't. Here's an article for more information;

In my opinion, it's a good idea to see a counselor or other professional when we have a new diagnosis like HM. Learning about our particular type (s) of migraine and or headache disorders and having a good support network enables us to get the correct treatment and an empowered patient.
